(MILWAUKEE, WI) MKELive will provide local business professionals with a break from the cold when it hosts the February meeting of LinkedIn Live-Milwaukee at the iconic Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes).
A popular destination for generations of Milwaukeeans, this unique facility always sparks conversation. It makes networking easier, more fun and more productive.
In addition to the tropical setting, LinkedIn Live-Milwaukee will have the opportunity to learn from the area’s most recognized Twitter experts, Michelle D’Attilio, Jeanette Pham of Corporate Identity Solutions. The hosts of many successful local “tweetups,” D’Attillo and Pham will discuss how Twitter has quickly become a legitimate and accepted professional marketing vehicle, as well as provide tips and assistance in how small businesses can use it effectively.
“If anybody still questions the validity of Twitter, you only need to look at how it has been used to quickly raise millions of dollars in relief for the earthquake victims in Haiti,” said Katie Felten, president of MKELive. “We’re thrilled to have two recognized experts come in and teach our guests how Twitter can be used to communicate messages and, at the same time, build brands.”
MKELive will also donate half of all revenue from this event to the relief effort for earthquake victims in Haiti.
“LinkedIn Live-Milwaukee at the Mitchell Park Domes” will be held on Monday, February 1st from 5:30-8:30. The cost is $10. Networkers are encouraged to pre-register at www.mkelive.com/calendar. The Mitchell Park Domes are located at 524 S. Layton Boulevard, Milwaukee, WI 53215.

(MILWAUKEE, WI) 2009 is history. It’s time to launch into 2010.
On Monday, January 11th, LinkedIn-Milwaukee will bring in 2010 with new insight on how businesses can reap the benefits of social media, presented by the business people that use this valuable tool.
The January LinkedIn-Milwaukee event will feature a panel discussion made up of local business people that are using social media to promote their products and services. These professionals will provide real-time examples and be able to explain how they use social media in a very practical way.
“We wanted to give attendees a chance to hear everyday people that are using social media to build their businesses,” said Katie Felten, president MKE Live. “It’s likely to be a very uplifting event for those that want to make the jump to social media but may feel a little intimidated by this form of marketing.”
The January LinkedIn-Milwaukee event will also provide attendees with the opportunity to update their professional “head and shoulders” photos. Members of the 2010 MKELive Ambassador team will also attend the event to answer questions about upcoming events, social networking, and other networking opportunities in 2010.
