Dan Underberg


The good news is, Dan has done a little bit of everything in marketing. The bad news? Marketing keeps adding more things to do. (“Cut me some slack, for cripes sake.”)

Dan has worked all sides of marketing (print and web design, PR, branding and positioning, networking, sales, writing, marketing plans, ad buys, etc.) and all levels of marketing (grass-roots flier handout campaigns, face-to-face and e-networking, positioning for Fortune 500 companies, sponsorship development for professional sports franchises, etc.).

Careers teach many lessons, and one of the biggest is “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know – and who knows you.” As Dan became familiar with the power of networking, he became a student of its many different forms. He has taught classes on effective networking techniques (and integrating these within successful sales and marketing programs) and how to effectively use social media – like LinkedIn – to open new doors in career advancement, sales and strategic alliances. This eventually led him to his partnership with Katie in MKE Live, LLC.

Dan is a proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is presently working toward his Masters degree at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. He “summers” (as well as “falls,” “winters” and “springs”) in Wauwatosa, WI, with his wife and three daughters. He humbly requests that you at least muffle your laughter if you see him “training” (i.e., lumbering, straining, wheezing) on Milwaukee’s lakefront as he works toward his first real athletic endeavor since ‘Bush 41’ was in office.
